Goosewood is only 6 Miles from York, a medieval city with the largest Gothic cathedral in England
York's attractions can keep visitors occupied for weeks. If you only have a couple of days to spare, these are the places that really should not be missed. One note of caution though, parking in York is expensive and spaces are at a premium so it is best to use the nearby Rawcliffe Bar park-and-ride bus service.
