Riverside Meadows Caravan Park, Ripon - Local Area
Riverside Meadows nestles on the side of the River ure, encircled by the beautiful rolling countryside of North Yorkshire. The park is a few minutes walk from the historic market town of Ripon, with its magnificent cathedral which houses an ancient saxon crypt dating back from Ad 672.
The celebrated Yorkshire Dales, with Masham's huge cobbled market-place and the sheep filled hills of Wensleydale and the flatter crop growing fields of the Vale of York are all within easy reach of the park.
Every Thursday, Ripon holds a market on the market square, a tradition that has been carried out for years. Stalls include: fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, fresh fish, clothes, jewellery, and much more.
You are within comfortable driving distance of big shopping outlets and high streets such as: The Shambles in York, The Shopping Centres in Leeds, Teesside Park and Newcastle's Metro centre.
