A holiday to remember!

Our lodges at Goosewood Holiday Park provide a superb home-from-home and both a place to relax and explore. Although it seems like a contradiction, let us explain! Set in tranquil surroundings on the outskirts of York, you would never imagine you are so close to a major city as you relax in the hot tub among the trees.

However a short ride away is the hustle, bustle and history of York. With the towering Minster, cobbled streets and quaint coffee shops, there is plenty to see and do in the center of York. Walk the walls to see the most of the city before returning to your accommodation for a well deserved soak in the hot tub!

Throw in the superb facilities that are on the park, whether you want to venture out for the day, stay on the park and play or just relax completely, there is something for you at Goosewood!

What can I stay in?

Willows

All complete with private hot tub on a veranda which over-looks the lake, the Willows are our finest accommodation which sleep 6. A master bedroom with king size bed, walk in wardrobe and en-suite shower room with WC and wash basin and two twin rooms make up the bedrooms, which the large open plan living space is relaxing and comfortable.  A washing machine/dryer and dishwasher are included in the kitchen. Towels are included but we don’t accept dogs in these lodges.

Elms

The Elms sleep up to 4 people and at 14ft wide they offer a little more space than a traditional holiday home. These lodge-style holiday homes comprise of one master room with king size bed and en-suite shower room, and one twin room. The veranda makes a great place to relax on an evening as the sun goes down, and some units have private hot tubs on the veranda, just remember to bring your own towels. One dog is allowed in certain units with an additional charge of £35.00.

Laurels

The Laurels sleep up to 6 people and are essentially the same unit as the Elms, but with space for two more people. Like their ‘sister’ they are 14ft wide, giving you that little extra space and comfort in the rooms and are well equipped for a self catering holiday. The master room has a double bed rather than a king size, but it does also benefit from an en-suite shower room. Again, one dog is allowed in certain units at a £35.00 charge and linen is provided but just remember to bring your own towels.

We split our breaks up in to 7, 4 and 3 night options. Ensuring you can stay for a full week, mid-week or weekend break in one of our superb holiday homes.

7 nights – Saturday to Saturday

4 nights – Monday to Friday

3 nights – Friday to Monday

Is there free WiFi?

There is free WiFi provided in the bar complex where you can surf the web, send emails and share your holiday snaps with your friends. You also have the option to updgrade to park-wide WiFi which will enable you to access super-fast WiFi for streaming Netflix, downloading and more.

Can I get a discount?

Book before 1st May 2017 and more than 6 weeks before your arrival, and we will knock £20 off a short break and £50 off a week long break! Bonus!

This is a simple one, all our prices are shown below. It’s worth noting that there is an additional charge for units which allow a dog – £35.00.

Indoor pool

Enjoy hours of splashing and swimming fun in our modern indoor pool! There is a main pool and a shallow pool, so kids of all ages can have fun in the water! NB: Extra charges do apply for using the swimming pool, at a reduced rate from the public rate.

Bar and bistro

Part of our leisure complex includes a stylish bar and eating area. You’ll find all your usual tipples and pub food here, plus a pool table and some arcade games to keep the kids happy after their tea! In the summer months, you can eat and drink outside on the picnic benches!

Fishing lake

If you enjoy fishing and have your own fishing licence, permits are available from the reception so you can fish in the lake! Sit back, relax and see what you can catch, permits vary depending on how many days you would like, so just ask in reception for the costs.

What is there to do in York?

York is a city packed with culture, history and charm which brings thousands of tourists to the city each year. If it’s a journey through time you are looking for, there is so much to see! Visit York’s towering Minster, the National Railway Museum, Yorkshire Air Museum and York Museum gardens for a lesson in history, or for a fright too take a trip to York Dungeons!

If you just want to experience the sights and sounds of the city, take a walk down the Shambles, and the old streets of York. With it’s ‘wonky’ buildings and quirky shops, you will be busy for hours! If it’s shopping you like, there is also a wide range of high street shops both in the city centre and a short drive from the park itself.

If you want to explore a little further afield, you are about an hour drive from the coast. It’s around 40 minutes to the North York Moors National Park, plus there are numerous wonderful villages and estates such as Castle Howard, all within easy distance.
