About this holiday home
Arguably the best lodge we’ve ever had for sale, The Whistler Lodge by Swift is top-of-the-range luxury. Simply stunning throughout, it has everything you need for a home-from-home retreat.
With so many features, it’s hard to decide where to start describing this lodge, but the lounge is a logical place as any!
The super-spacious living area is effectively split in to two halves. The 2 and 3-seater sofas provide plush relaxation spaces opposite the feature wall, which includes an inset contemporary Opti-myst® feature flame fire. One of the sofas also folds out in to an occasional bed, if required for extra guests or family.
If you like your tech, the 40-inch Sony® TV is also inset in the ‘chimney breast’. It has a Sky+ connection and HDMI cable included while the Bose® sound system ensures you can play your choice of music through the in-built speakers.
The glass top coffee table looks stylish and modern and matches the dining table which seats four. The stone coloured, upholstered seats are another classy touch, while the front opening doors lead out on to the large L-shaped decking which has a gorgeous glass-front and overlooks the fishing lakes at Goosewood.
The open-plan nature of the lodge ensures the large open space in the kitchen is sociable and the perfect area for entertaining friends of spending time with family. Designed by Cooke and Lewis their full gloss ‘Rafello’ kitchen has handless doors, soft close drawers and a handy wine cooler.
It also has all the mod-cons you would need. For cooking and preparing meals you can make full use of the integrated oven, grill and microwave, plus the 5-ring, gas hob is on an island which has a magic touch! Just press the button and the extractor slides up out of the worktop! The island doubles up as a breakfast bar which is accompanied by two stools, again ideal for having extra guests. Once you are all done eating, sit back and relax while the dishwasher washes all your pots for you!
All that, plus 40mm worktops with matching upstands, integrated fridge-freezer, feature lighting under the cupboards and an additional sink in the utility room which also houses a free-standing washer/dryer.
There are two bedrooms in the Whistler Lodge, a double and twin room. Both are spacious and incredibly well finished, have LED reading lights and have provisions for TVs. In the main room, there is a king-size bed with Duvalay mattress (which lifts up for additional storage) and a stunning padded headboard.
The real feature of the bedroom though, comes in the shape of the gorgeous, luxury en-suite. It has a freestanding bath and corner shower with thermostatic shower, plus a dual flush WC and wash basin. From the main bedroom there are another set of sliding doors which lead out on to the decking, adding another unique touch.
The walk in wardrobe in the main room also has a vanity area which is a fabulous space for getting ready for a night in the on-park bar, heading out for a meal, or entertaining guests.
The main bathroom has a corner enclosure with thermostatic shower, dual flush WC with concealed cistern and stylish wash basin. All topped by stylish chrome towel radiators and LED illuminated vanity mirrors which have a demisting pad and infrared sensors.
While enjoying the 11 month season at Goosewood, you also benefit from gas central heating which is controlled by a wireless thermostat, double glazing, 200mm insulation in the roof and 95mm in the walls ensuring low energy usage and maximum heat retention.
