For privately owned Holiday Homes only a stone’s throw from the coast, The Haven is perfectly secluded for peace and tranquility.
This secluded and quiet park is open for ten months of the year and is exclusive to our private owners on the park. Situated on the North side of Scarborough, in the village of Burniston, you are ideally placed on the main road to Whitby and close to village amenities. The Haven’s intimate and well manicured grounds add to the relaxing and peaceful atmosphere.
The Haven is situated just off the main Scarborough to Whitby road, in the village of Burniston. The village boasts two good pubs, both serving food, and just up the road in Cloughton there are two more pubs. There is also a small post office and a small shop. For sport enthusiasts Scarborough RUFC play just down the road, while there are some great walks from here towards either Scarborough or Whitby, via the old railway line.

Holiday Park Facilities
The park is centred around peacefulness and quiet tranquility, so you won't find an array of facilities here. However, just outside the park you also have a small convenience shop at the local post office, two charming pubs serving homemade food and you are also on the doorstep of Scarborough's many attractions. Owners can also make use of the facilities at the Flower of May Holiday Park, including the swimming pool and bar.

Scarborough – the Queen of the Yorkshire coast, lies just 45 minutes from historic York situated between Whitby to the North and Bridlington to the South. The main focus to holiday makers is the golden stretch of beach which visitors flock to during the summer months. Picturesque Scarborough Castle dominates the coastal skyline and makes for an interesting day out. Explore the narrow streets and alleyways that wind through this picturesque coastal town towards the busy quayside. The picture postcard harbour is overlooked by the ruins of the ancient St Hilda’s Abbey high on Whitby’s East Cliff. Why not trek the 199 steps from the old town of Whitby that lead up to Parish Church of St Mary, the scene of which was inspiration for Bram Stoker’s famous book, Dracula.
Robin Hood’s Bay
Venture the path’s of pirates and smugglers! Robin Hood’s Bay is a maze of tiny streets and passageways surrounding an ancient fishing harbour. Legend has it that Robin Hood raided French Pirates pillaging the North Yorkshire coast and returned the loot back to the local villagers and so the name was born. Robin Hood’s Bay is a picturesque town with unique quirky appeal and well worth a visit.
For fans of the TV series Heartbeat, Goathland is an essential visit. Here you can view the now infamous shops and green, the tea rooms and Scripps Funeral Service and Petrol Station all of which were familiar sights on the series. Goathland also provides a railway station with connection to the steam operated North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
Just a short distance from Scarborough is the traditional English seaside resort of Filey. A holiday hotspot since the Victorian era, Filey offers golden sands and a fishing harbour village with quaint shops and cafes. Take in the beautiful views of Filey Bay or enjoy a coastal walk along the cliff top to Bempton Cliffs or Flamborough Head.
If your looking for fun seaside activities for the kids then look no further than a day out to Bridlington. The beachside promenade is packed with kids rides and amusements or you can show off your sand castle making skills on either of Bridlington’s two award winning beaches. The harbour town bustles in the summer months and for a unique way to explore the town why not hop on one of the famous ‘Tuk-Tuk’ rides!
The magnificent Castle Howard labelled as one the ‘Top 10 Greatest Mansions in the World’ offers a spectacular step back in time. The splendid house and estate offers something for the whole family. Browse the 18th Century stately home, explore the extensive gardens or visit the museums and temporary exhibitions. During the summer months look out for special open air events and music concerts featuring many famous acts.
There is so much to see and do in the local area, including the Scarborough Fair Collection and Vintage Transport Museum which is located on the Flower of May Holiday Park! North Yorkshire Moors Railway
Running from Pickering to Whitby, this steam train takes you through glorious countryside and through stunning villages.
Take a boat on the lake and walk around the Chinese gardens at Peasholm Park. During the summer, be sure to catch the iconic Naval Warfare.
Scarborough Open Air Theatre

SEA LIFE Centre
A mostly indoor attraction on Scarborough's North Bay. Inside the iconic white pyramid buildings are various sea life some of which you can get up close and personal with!
If it's slides and outdoor pools you want, head to Alpamare in Scarborough. There are various slides to suit all riders and a splash zone for the smaller ones.
Whether you enjoy rollercoasters or a more relaxed day out in the zoo, all ages can enjoy themselves at Flamingo Land.
